There are many things that might seem beyond our control in this world, but we always have control over our own mind - it has a LOT of power if we choose to use it! "If we look out at the surface of the ocean, how many ripples do we see? Endless... and each one is unique unto itself. But if we go below the surface, deeper and deeper, we understand that it is one great ocean. What if we were like that? On the surface, we all look different and have our own uniqueness. But what if we choose to look a little deeper within ourselves and each other? What if, at a deeper level, we were really all one, just like that great ocean? If we look deeper, it is easy to see that we are all very interconnected, and how we treat others is very much the same as how we treat ourselves!"

"Sometimes, if we want to realize our dreams, we have to S-T-R-E-T-C-H! What do we stretch? Ourselves! We have to stretch ourselves a little beyond who and what we think we normally are and can do. It takes courage and persistence to grow and learn what needs to be grown and learned to realize our dreams. Sometimes it can be uncomfortable when we're trying new things! Sometimes we might think we 'fail', BUT - these 'failures' can actually be a very big part of our success! If we are stretching ourselves as we grow and learn, it is most likely that we won't get it right right away - otherwise we maybe aren't stretching ourselves enough! Did you know that Thomas Edison - who invented the light bulb - 'failed' 10,000 times before he finally achieved his success? When asked how he kept going despite all these 'failures', he replied that he didn't 'fail', he simply found 10,000 ways NOT to make a light bulb! Every single one of those ways became a part of the final success - so there is no such thing as failure as long as we keep learning and following our dreams!"
