"Best
money I've ever spent on a program!"
"Bobby, what a fantastic day! Thank you very much for the energy and thought put into creating our school song with all of us. We have great kids and our song truly reflects that. I know it was a long and exhausting day and I just wanted to thank you again for the great time. I heard nothing put extremely positive feedback from the kids and staff alike. I know you sparked our administration and I am sure we will be looking into some way to get you back in the future. An exceptional program! Thanks again."
"Thank you so much for helping us with our School Song "We're the Broncos - Here Us Sing!". Your interaction with the staff and students was fantastic. You will be remembered long after you've left by what you've left behind. Our sincere thanks!"
"Our
elementary school had the pleasure and privilege of being entertained
by Bobby Boogaloo. It was a lively, joyous and engaging performance of
rollicking music and kid-friendly lyrics. Bobby sang about how important
it is for kids to value who they are and to stand up for what feels right.
He had the audience clapping and singing along and included some extra-special
dress-up numbers for a few students and staff members. We all appreciated
his energy and enthusiasm and the inspirational content of his songs.
What a talented entertainer! I would highly recommend Bobby Boogaloo as
a children's entertainer in any venue."
"I just wanted to thank you for such an awesome experience that my daughter had. You were at Julia Kiniski school a few weeks ago. We just downloaded the music and she is having so much fun singing. The words to the songs are just great. Thanks again for helping the kids write all these fun songs. Bless You!"
"Thank so much for everything. YES we did consider the day to be a great success. On the way out of school that afternoon the Principal overheard one of the elementary students talking to her mom! She was so excited she could hardly speak telling her all about you and our new School Song. I really can't thing of anything that would have improved the day. We definitely would recommend that other schools book a School Song Workshop. Last Friday, we held Regional playoffs for our Sr. Girls Volleyball team. Some of the Grade 12 boys came to me for copies of our new school song. They were a great hit when they stood up in front of the crowd and Roared out the school song. Thanks so much for renewing our school spirit!"
"You really found a way to his 5 year old heart. I played the school song from your site and he broke out in a really big smile and said "It's my Bobby Boogaloo" and jumped all over the living room as he sang the school song with you. Thank you for sharing yourself with our children!"
"I would recomment Bobby Boogaloo's presentation to any school who is looking for a fun and entertaining means of imparting character building and postive attitudes in their school. Bobby brought a professionalism to his work and a dedication that was commented on by both students and staff. The day really flew by and each class was very involved in the suggestions and direction the song would take. Having the MP3 version ready so quickly enable our parents and community to listen to our song and we received many positive comments. Thanks, it was a very up-beat
"Is
nothing impossible for childrens musician Bobby Boogaloo? Armed
with shaggy hair, a bright yellow Hawaiian shirt and an acoustic guitar,
Boogaloo spent an entire week with Centennial Elementary School students...
to make songs about building character and self-esteem."
"Bobby
Boogaloo provided our students with an entertaining performance that enabled
our students from Grades 1-6 to interact with his music and message of
hope. Bobby was very energetic and kept all students focused and active
throughout his performance. Staff also enjoyed the program as it reinforced
the teaching of hope, self-confidence and 'doing the right thing now'
that has been ongoing at the school. A great time was had by all!"
"I love it! The kids seem to be soooo into it. It is really great! By the way, we've been listening to your CD, too: you're one fine artist who really knows a kid's heart!"
"With our focus on “Character Education”, The Bobby Boogaloo Song Writing Workshop was the perfect way to kick off the school year. Staff and students spent the day with Bobby, brainstorming, writing, learning and recording our new school song. The Character Education piece was front and centre with the title, “Nothing But Respect At New Prospect!” Bobby was skilled at guiding students through the process and working their ideas, as well as his own, into a very effective school song!"
"This
letter is written in support of the Bobby Boogaloo "Kids Have Character"
SongPower Workshop program. Bob Cook presented his program during the
week of Jan. 16-20, 2006 to our Kindergarten to Grade 5 students. The
school staff and students enjoyed and learned from the interactive Bobby
Boogaloo performance, the songwriting lessons, and the final student performance.
All activities and lessons were well planned based on the Social Responsibility
concept of Character Education and very suitable to the various ages of
the students. We gratefully appreciated the Kids Have Character
Study Guide, the web page on the Bobby Boogaloo website, and the completed
student CD. Mr. Cook is an organized, enthusiastic and talented individual
who quickly established a very positive rapport with staff and students.
Our school has greatly benefited from this excellent educational experience.
"Family
& Community Support Services Lamont County Region is pleased to recommend
"Kids Have Character" with Bobby Boogaloo. Bobby presented to
three elementary schools on Nov. 17/05. Bob was amazing, his music was
very upbeat and age appropriate. Bob was very professional and had the
attention of his audience. Everyone was able to participate, including
the teachers! FCSS received very positive feedback from the schools. I
would highly recommend Bobby Boogaloo as a child performer to any community
or school group. Thank you very much for coming out to our schools - the
kids loved what you had to share with them."
"Bobby
Boogaloo's 'Kids Have Character' concert is rich in positive messages
to Elementary Students on how to interact with each other by showing kindness
and respect. Important character values are presented in a lively and
humorous format that keeps young students singing and clapping along for
a full hour of songs and stories well tailored to their abilities and
interests. All 479 students thorougly enjoyed the show!"
"Bob
came to our school on Jan. 24, 2006 for a one hour presentation. He is
a most talented musician who can relate well to students using inspiring
songs focusing on social responsibility. The students seemed very receptive
to Bob's engaging presentation and enjoyed singing with him. At one point
several students were invited to come to the front and wear different
costumes and then sing with him. This was the highlight of the presentation!
Good job! Thank you!"
"He
could become another Fred Penner - a children's entertainer to be reckoned
with, his relentless positivity and penchant for puns rolling out the
carpet for a new generation of music-lovers.
"The
'Kids Have Character' school concert was a fun, educational and inspiring
sing-and-dance-along that focuses on values such as respect for one's
self, each other and the environment; persistence; courage; responsibility;
citizenship; and thinking for oneself."
"Bob
came to my grade one/two classroom and performed songs for my class. Bob
performed several of his own songs along with some traditional Christmas
songs. His music was upbeat and age appropriate. My class thoroughly enjoyed
his music - this was clearly evident by their active participation and
enthusiasm. Bob had a great manner with the children. He interacted well
with them and appeared to truly enjoy their company. We look forward to
Bob visiting our school again."
"Bob
Cook, aka Bobby Boogaloo, was a great hit at our Boys and Girls
"Bob
gave off a vibe during his silly song "Chuck the Head" that
reminded me of summer camp, sing-alongs, Raffi and Valdy. Bob is fighting
the good fight ... and eventually, I bet, will be shaping the minds of
our nation's children."
"Bob
has been a staple for us in our little corner of the world. He has played
with his band at the Lakeland Music Festival in 2003 and 2004, and he
also played our Canada Day festivities in 2004 and 2005. They have a very
exciting roots rock sound that leaves your foot tapping and face smiling.
It is my understanding that Bob is venturing into the child entertainment
business. This is a really excellent idea as his original compositions
are very entertaining for people of all ages and especially children who
always seem to be dancing and enjoying Bob's antics. The feel is always
upbeat when Bob is around to entertain. We are always happy and confident
to hire him for any occasion. In closing I would like to ensure that any
job that you have in mind for Bob will be fulfilled in all capacities,
as Bob always does."
"Bob
has proven himself to be very quick on his feet and a master of disguises.
He can play an array of characters from old men to young women with ease.
His comedic style and energetic personality make him a hit with all audiences,
young and old. Add into the mix his flare with music and you have a winning
combination."
"Bob's
enthusiasm for his character roles, and the effort that he puts into his
performances, is outstanding.
He is a very reliable and capable individual with excellent people skills."
"Bob
Cook is an amazing fellow and we can be thankful the Vancouver native
chose Edmonton as his new home nearly three years ago. Not only does he
supply a constant supply of quirky, spirited music which he calls "bomp'n'roll",
but he also keeps his eyes on the world around him rather than just his
own personal little sphere."
